What a night for the girls varsity soccer team as they made it five wins in a row and winning eight of their last nine games with a 6-1 victory over visiting McGuffey High School. Even with at least three games remaining in the season, the Lady Dawgs reached several milestones last night including: longest winning streak, best section record, best overall record, highest section finish, as well as earning a trip to the playoffs. Sydney Urbine led the way with a hat trick, it was her sixth hat trick of the season. Ella Boothe, Olivia Flowers, and Sierra Phillips each added a goal to finish out the scoring. Hanna Harhai had two assists and Ella Boothe and Daniesha Cole each had one assist. The Lady Dawgs defense was exceptionally strong by keeping the McGuffey attack out of scoring position for the majority of the night. Outstanding plays were also turned in by Mikayla Kanalis, Casey Falcon, Baylee Swarrow, Emily Lacey, and Emily Jenkins. The Beth Center Girls Varsity Soccer team will be travelling to Bentworth for their next game on Monday at the 7:00 pm to take on this season’s section champion. Good luck to the Lady Dawg Soccer Team as they wrap up their season and head to the playoffs!
